Terms of Use
The agreement for using Stay180.
Last updated 28 September 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Stay180 at stay180.app (the “Service”), operated by AI Transform Studio Ltd, registered in England and Wales. By using the Service or buying Stay180 Pro, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms are a practical self-serve product agreement. They are not a substitute for legal advice. For material disputes, have a qualified solicitor in England and Wales review them.
The Service
Stay180 is a planning tool that counts days of presence against the Schengen short-stay 90/180 rule, using stays you enter or import. It can show days used, days remaining, and a last day you can stay based on those stays.
Stay180 is not immigration advice, visa advice, legal advice, or a government service. Border officers and the official EU short-stay calculator are authoritative. You must verify results before you travel.
We may improve, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
Using Stay180
Stay180 does not require an account to use the calculator or the trip planner. Without an account, confirmed stays are stored in this browser on your device. If you clear site data, switch browsers, or use another device, those stays are not there unless you restore a backup you downloaded.
Connecting a calendar, importing an ICS file, syncing stays, printable briefings, and other Stay180 Pro tools require a signed-in account with Stay180 Pro. Each account holds one traveller’s ledger. You must not access another person’s account or stays.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of stays you add or import, including whether a day counts as presence in the Schengen Area.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- Violate law, or infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights
- Attempt to access another person’s data or circumvent access controls
- Probe, scan, or attack the Service except with our prior written consent
- Upload malware or content that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful
- Misrepresent Stay180 output as official immigration advice or as a government determination
- Resell or white-label the Service except under a separate written agreement
Your data
You retain whatever rights you have in the stays and calendar information you handle in Stay180.
Without an account, stays you confirm are saved on your device. We do not upload them.
If you create a Stay180 account and subscribe to Pro, stays you choose to sync are stored in our database (Convex), isolated to your account, so you can restore them on another device. You can download a copy of your stays and delete your account and the server copy.
You can sign in with a one-time email code or with Google. Google account sign-in is OAuth: we receive your Google account email and account id so we can create or recognise your Stay180 account, and we drop the name and profile picture Google also offers rather than storing them. That is separate from Google Calendar import.
If you connect Google Calendar, you must be signed in on Pro. Calendar reading happens in your browser. We ask Google for two read-only permissions: the list of calendars you are subscribed to, and the events on them. We do not request Gmail, calendar settings, or sharing permissions, and we never request write access. We do not store your calendar on our servers. Closing the tab ends the calendar session. Only stays you confirm are saved to your Pro account.
If you drop a calendar file, you must be signed in on Pro. The file is read in this browser and is not uploaded. Confirmed stays from that file follow the same rules as stays you type.
If you buy Stay180 Pro, Stripe processes the payment. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us. Sign-in codes and optional cap-alert emails are sent by Resend.
Calculator results
Stay180 performs date arithmetic against the Schengen 90/180 rule as we implement it. Results can be wrong if stays are missing, overlapping, mis-dated, or if the rule is applied differently at the border.
You must review results and, where it matters, check the official EU short-stay calculator and a qualified adviser. We do not warrant that a result will be accepted by any authority.
Third-party and partner links
The Service may link to third-party websites, including partner links for which we may earn a commission. They are labelled as partner links. We do not operate, endorse, or take responsibility for those services; your use of them is governed by their own terms. A partner link is never immigration or visa advice from us.
Fees and Stay180 Pro
The calculator and trip planner are available without payment and without an account. Stay180 Pro is sold on the Pricing page as a one-time lifetime licence (currently US$49) and requires a Stay180 account. Features included with Pro are described on that page and may change.
A lifetime licence is a single payment and does not renew. Monthly or yearly subscriptions bought before they were withdrawn from sale continue, and renew until cancelled, on their existing terms. Taxes may apply. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we state otherwise at checkout.
Checkout is handled by Stripe. By completing a purchase you also agree to Stripe’s terms for that payment.
We may suspend or limit paid features for non-payment, abuse, or risk to the Service.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including software, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer that ownership.
Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, THAT CALCULATOR RESULTS WILL MATCH ANY AUTHORITY’S DETERMINATION, OR THAT RESULTS ARE SUITABLE FOR TRAVEL, VISA, OR BORDER DECISIONS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY (OR, IF YOU PAID NO FEES, FIFTY US DOLLARS).
WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, TRAVEL, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY — INCLUDING REFUSED ENTRY, FINES, OR DISRUPTED TRAVEL.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under England and Wales law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from stays or calendar data you handle in the Service, your use of Google or other third-party services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
Term and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have an existing recurring Stay180 Pro subscription, you may cancel it through Stripe’s billing flow or by contacting support@stay180.app. A lifetime licence does not renew; we may still stop providing the Service.
We may terminate or suspend access for material breach, unlawful use, or risk to the platform.
Without an account, confirmed stays live on your device. You can delete them in the product or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. If you have a Pro account, you can delete your account and the server copy of synced stays from the Account page or by contacting support@stay180.app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
If you are a consumer, that does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and it does not stop you bringing proceedings there as well. Where you are in the EU, EEA, or the UK, you keep the right to sue us, and to be sued by us, in the courts of your own country of residence. If any part of these Terms conflicts with a right you have that cannot be waived by agreement, that right wins.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires a different process.
